In 2018, the EPA estimated that the USA generated 17 million tons of textiles and in the same year, landfills received 11.3 million tons. During my time working for a single fashion brand, I collected hundreds of pounds of textiles that were being discarded. This collection is made up of handmade one-of-a-kind goods using materials that were once destined for landfill. Photos by Tyler Dunlavy.
